Most standard productivity applications are included in your base Lagan SCG hardware image or are available for self-service download via the Software Center.
However, certain specialized applications are classified as "Premium Software" due to their high licensing costs. Access to these applications requires specific authorization based on your role or manager approval.
Included Premium Software
The following applications fall under this policy:
Microsoft Project
Microsoft Visio
Adobe Creative Cloud (All Apps)
AutoCAD
Requesting Access: Pre-Approved Roles
Employees in specific job roles are pre-approved for certain premium applications based on their daily job functions. If your Workday profile reflects one of the following titles, you do not need manager approval:
Team Leads and Senior Project Managers: Pre-approved for Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio.
Designers / Marketing Specialists: Pre-approved for Adobe Creative Cloud.
Engineers / Architects: Pre-approved for AutoCAD.
How to get it: If you hold a pre-approved role, simply submit an IT support ticket requesting the software. IT will verify your role in the directory and provision the license within 1 business day.
Requesting Access: Standard Employees
If your job title does not automatically qualify you for a premium license, you must obtain manager approval before IT can fulfill your request.
Navigate to the Lagan SCG IT Portal.
Select Submit a Request and choose Software Provisioning.
Select the software you need and provide a brief business justification in the comments (e.g., "Required to view client architectural files").
Your direct manager will receive an automated email asking them to approve the licensing cost for your department.
Once your manager approves the request, IT will process the license and notify you.
Installation
Once IT notifies you that your license has been assigned via our Quest asset management system, you can download the application directly from the Lagan SCG Software Center app on your desktop. The software will automatically recognize your SSO credentials upon launch.
